FUEL Makes Strong Showing at ADAI 66th Exhibition

When the green shoots emerge, you know what time it is: Award Season.

Themed “Enter the Wild,” the 66th Art Directors of Iowa’s Annual Design Exhibition was held on April 19th at Curate in Des Moines. Three entries from FUEL were included in this year’s Exhibition, all receiving Excellence Awards. They include:

Identity Mark: Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church

Sales Promotion: Cold Zero Reserve Whiskey

Video Spot: Interior Perfection Massoud Collection Launch

“This shows a great cross section of our capabilities,” said FUEL Creative Director Bill Bollman. “And recognition in the identity category is always gratifying since it’s one of our core disciplines in brand development”.

Designer Josh Santel represented FUEL at the event. With a background in industrial design, it was his first exposure to the ADAI Exhibition since joining FUEL and offered the opportunity to not only see where the bar was set, but to take inventory of his own development as a designer.

“I was thoroughly impressed with both the professional and student work coming out of Iowa firms and institutions,” said Santel. “It was great seeing this year’s crop of winners because of the huge range of work and the high standard it has to meet just to be included in the Exhibition. It motivates me to broaden the style of my creative work and what I’m inspired by in pursuit of excellence.”
