FUEL Honored with Best of Show

At the 2002 ADDY Awards ceremonies hosted by the Advertising Federations of Cedar Rapids and the Quad-Cities, FUEL Inc. received top honors in a variety of media categories. In the Cedar Rapids competition, FUEL received a Judge’s Choice Award, two Best of Category Awards, and six other ADDY’s. The Judge’s Choice Award was received for a John Deere construction equipment product icon series.

At the Quad Cities event the judges awarded John Deere’s Construction & Forestry Division the coveted Best of Show Award along with five additional ADDYs. All awards recognized work done through a collaborative effort between John Deere and FUEL in support of the John Deere division’s marketing efforts.

“FUEL’s work always guarantees a strong visual impact,” said Bob Zeidler, visual brand manager for John Deere’s Construction & Forestry Division. Zeidler collaborated with FUEL designer Bill Bollman for the Quad Cities Best of Show winner—a four-color brochure entitled Shape Your World. “We knew that FUEL had helped make this brochure something very unique and compelling.”

“We see this recognition as further evidence that FUEL contributes to business communications through the measurable results our work produces,” said John E. Moes, FUEL president. “We are honored to have these pieces recognized as relevant by our peers, and are proud that they have met or exceeded the needs of our clients as well.”

The ADDY Awards honor advertising excellence in all media. FUEL was recognized in categories ranging from identity design to direct mail and apparel design. As a winner, FUEL now qualifies to compete in the district ADDY awards competition.
